Celebrating 20 years of supplying specialist paints, coatings and consumables and under new ownership Breakwells invest in state of the art machinery and launch their new home paint range, ColoursBy.
After a management buyout in January 2021, new owner Russell had big plans to re-establish and grow the Breakwells brand. Initially this involved upgrading their current website and adding an ecommerce facility whilst longer terms plans included investment in new state of the art machinery and the launch of their new range of Home and Garden paint and Narrowboat paint.
Water Based Tinting Machine
After announcing a new distribution partnership with HMG Paints who are the UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, Breakwells expanded their current range of HMG products to include their low VOC paint, which is a child friendly decorative paint and introduced a new water based tinting machine that would be used for the launch of their new home and garden paint range, ColoursBy.
ColoursBy Chloe, the home paint range will be available to order from October 11th with the garden and children’s paint ranges being available shortly after. Russel is also working closely with the team at HMG to launch Master Craftsman, Breakwells own Narrowboat and Heritage paint range to help increase their market share in these sectors.
Octoral Automotive Paint Mixing System by Valspar
Earlier this year MD, Russell had been in talks with Dan Anderson the Regional Sales Manager for Sherwin-Williams discussing the Octoral automotive paint system that offers, the Octobase System which is a high-quality basecoat system that needs to be finished with a clear coat and the Octocryl System that is a high gloss 2-pack polyurethane finish.
Although Breakwells already have a good presence in the Automotive market it was decided very early on that this system was the best fit for Breakwells and would help the business grow by increasing their product offering to this sector.
20 years is an achievement in itself for any business and Breakwells have some great plans for the next 12 months to mark this milestone!
